How to Quickly Transfer Data From One Part of the Computer to Another?

Friday, May 21st, 2010

This is a tough subject to talk about mainly because there are so many ways to do it.

Transferring is similar to moving. If you move a file or directory (also call a folder) it will no longer be in its old location. If you transfer a file or directory you may possibly keep a copy of it in its original location.
As an example: when you use FTP (file transfer protocol) you copy the files from the local drive and put on the server. You do not move them.

What about copying?

Of course this is an option. You can copy almost anything and put it where ever you want to. The problem is that you will be leaving the original files were they were. This can be good or bad. If you did not want the files to stay there you will need to go back and delete them. This can be a long process. You also must be sure that you pick the right files to delete.

o You can left click one file in the folder you are in. If you want to copy everything just push the Ctrl key along with the letter A. This will select every file in that directory. Now (while the files are selected) push the Ctrl key with the letter C. This will copy all the files.
o Go to the place on the computer that you want to copy them to. Push the Ctrl key with the letter V. This will copy all the files in that location.
o Another way: when you are in the folder you want to copy click the file in the upper left hand corner. Hold down the shift key and pick the file in the lower right corner. Now follow the steps as shown above.

What if I do not want every file?

Click the first file you want to copy. Hole down the Ctrl key. Now pick out the files you want to copy. You must hold down the Ctrl key as you do this or you will have to start over. Once you have selected the files you need follow the instructions shown above.

Yet another way

Select the file any way you like as suggested above. Once the files are selected right click and drag the files to the location you want to put them in. Let go of the mouse and a screen will appear. It will say: Copy here, move here, create shortcut or cancel. Pick the one of your choice. You can also left click and drag but it will actually move the file. In that case it will not warn you.

There are a few other ways this can be done but it is difficult to write about without using pictures. You can get more detailed information by simply clicking here!

Slow Windows 7 — A Trick to Boost Computer Speed for Windows 7

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Although Windows 7 is one of the latest operating systems in the World, it’s still got a big problem in that it is constantly running slowly and with lots of errors. A slow computer is very frustrating and annoying issue for millions of Windows 7 users, and it’s vital that you are able to get your computer working well again. Fortunately, we’ve found a trick to make this system speed up instantly.

The problem that many people have with Windows 7 is that it still uses the ‘registry’ in the same way as all the previous versions of Windows. This ‘registry’ is a database which stores the settings and personalization details for your computer, and is the reason why Windows is able to remember things such as your latest emails, desktop wallpaper and Internet favorites.

Literally every type of setting and option is kept inside the registry, making it one of the most important parts of Windows. However, it’s also one of the most vulnerable parts of your system – and is the hidden reason why most systems end up running slowly. The problem is that since Windows relies on the registry for everything, it’s constantly opening too many registry files whenever you use your system. This makes Windows confused and leads it to save many of these files in the wrong way, making them damaged and corrupted. And this causes the registry to become unreadable.

When the registry becomes unreadable, Windows has to take longer to process the files it needs, which leads it to slow down and stop working. This problem has persisted since the time of Windows ‘98, and is why many Windows PCs run slowly. Every time you use your system, more and more registry files are being damaged, which results in them becoming harder for your computer to read, slowing it down exponentially.

To fix this problem, the trick you can use comes the form of a registry cleaner. A registry cleaner is a software tool which scans through the registry database and fixes any of the damaged files that are causing your PC to run slowly. These tools are able to fix most slow computers because they clean through all the issues that are in the registry, which can be in the 1,000’s, allowing your computer to read the files it needs again. And the good news is that because Windows 7 has had some nice updates to the registry database, you just need to be able to download a good registry cleaner and the chances are that it will speed up your PC for you. You just need to install one of these tools, let it scan your PC and it should make it run faster.

He have disabled all startup services (except msft). But the slow startup is not willing go away. If your new Windows 7 has slow startup of as he doses. Then, you are in the right place to get faster startup for Windows 7.

#1 Get rid of unnecessary startup programs

However, with many programs run at startup, Windows 7 will boot slow as a tortoise. These programs not only occupy vast hard drive space, but also lengthen the boot up time dramatically.

# 2 Defragment your hard drive

Registry Cleanup — The Best Registry Repair Tool For Windows 7

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Windows 7 is Microsoft’s latest operating system, but it still relies on the ‘registry’ to run. This has been causing issues since it’s development in 1998, and as a result, it’s important that you are able to repair it quickly. Fortunately, there are tools which are very effective on this system and we’ve found one which works extremely well.

Because Windows 7 has a lot of new registry settings and files, many registry tools are unable to fix the system in the same way that they were able to do with the likes of XP and Vista. In order to fix the Windows 7 registry properly, you need to be sure that you have a registry tool that is going to work well on this operating system, and not cause any more damage than what’s already on there.

The problem with Windows 7 & registry cleaners is actually very simple. It all boils down to how registry repair tools work and how they interact with this new OS. All registry cleaner tools are designed to do the same job – which is to scan through a part of Windows called the ‘registry’ and fix any damaged settings / files that are in it. The registry is best described as a big database which stores settings and personalized information about your PC. And is constantly becoming damaged and corrupted.

The registry database has been the Achilles Heel for Windows since its introduction in Windows ‘98, because it’s used too much. Every time you use your PC, the registry is being opened and edited to help Windows operate, and it’s because your computer tries to open so many of the settings inside the registry that it gets confused and ends up saving many of them in the wrong way. This causes your system to get full of corrupt and unreadable registry files, which all take a lot of processing power to decode – slowing your computer down and causing a series of errors.

To fix this issue, registry repair tools have been designed to scan through the registry and fix any of the problems that they find. However, as Windows 7 is so new, it has a lot of registry files which many registry tools have never seen before. This means that if you scan through Windows 7 with an incompatible registry repair tool, it will delete and remove many of the healthy files that your PC needs to run, which can cause damage including making it unable to boot up.

In order to get your PC working like new again, you need to use a tool that will not remove any healthy registry settings… and having used many of these, we’ve found that “Registry Easy Cleaner” works the best on Windows 7.
